The DoD has released the final rule for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program, marking the beginning of a 60-day Congressional Review period. Barring any changes, the rule will take effect on Dec. 16, 2024. The DoD has also said that a change to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) will be released in early to mid-2025. This update will contractually enforce the CMMC requirements, which will be included in solicitations and contracts. For more details, read the final rule at the link below and explore the DoD press release here: https://lnkd.in/eAgd9SdK

From Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC): This looks like a great opportunity if your company can offer solutions to their identified tactical challenge areas. Check out the post and ensure you email the team for the solution paper template. Briefings are scheduled for Nov. 13-14.

On behalf of Commander, Naval Surface Force (CNSF), Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC), via the Surface Requirements Group (SURFRG), is offering an opportunity for commercial companies to present material solutions to top U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Tactical Challenges on 13-14 November, 2024 at SMWDC Headquarters in San Diego, CA. If your company has a potential solution and is interested in briefing it to the SURFRG panel, please contact our team at SURFRG_info@us.navy.mil for a solution paper template. Solution papers can be submitted at the unclassified or classified level (up to SECRET) no later than 6 November. All solution papers will be reviewed for impact to the Tactical Challenge, maturity of the technology, and feasibility/executability of the solution (can it be seen and touched).  If your solution is selected for presentation to the panel, you will be assigned a time slot and given additional instructions.  Solution papers may be presented in person or virtually (up to SECRET).  Solutions demonstrating high capability in solving a Surface Warfare Tactical Challenge will be passed to Navy Program Offices for further evaluation. We look forward to hearing from interested companies and possibly meeting with you in November. Please send any questions to  SURFRG_info@us.navy.mil.  SURFRG Tactical Challenge Areas (not in order):  - Air to Surface Tactical Data Integration                   - Command & Control in a Denied, Degraded, Exploited Environment                          - Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UxS)                    - Enable Offensive Capability to Additional Platforms       - Enhance Long Range Surface Fires Coordination    - Layered Hard Kill/Soft Kill Terminal Defense - Ordnance Reload-at-Sea - SPY-1 Counter Electronic Attack Capability                      - Torpedo Defense

Exciting updates in the world of GWAC! 🚀 Last week, the GSA made announcements regarding #Polaris and #OASISPlus. On Sept. 30, the GSA issued awards and Notices to Proceed (NTPs) for the first phase of Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) awardees. This date marks the beginning of the 5-year base period of performance. Congratulations! On Oct. 3, we finally saw the much-anticipated apparent awardee list for the #Polaris Small Business Pool. Nearly two years in the making, this update marks an exciting milestone for many companies that have been eagerly awaiting this announcement. Congratulations! #ProcurementNews #GWACs #GovCon
