Transforming Lives. Building Community Well-Being.

About us

Trillium Health Resources manages specialty behavioral health care for North Carolinians across 46 counties. Trillium is committed to transforming lives and building community well-being through partnership, access to services and proven solutions designed to help those we serve reach their fullest potential. Everyone on Trillium’s staff--our care managers, call center, claims agents, project managers, and IT staff--all contribute to this mission. We offer a challenging, engaging work environment where staff take home more than a paycheck. Our performance management plan includes regular check-ins to examine individual employee goals and professional development plan. Our departments work on cross-functional, short-term projects and long ranging initiatives. Every day we see the results of our dedication, in the smiles of children on our accessible playgrounds and pride on the face of an adult cooking a meal for the first time. By joining Trillium, you are doing more than going to work…you are transforming lives. We help those with mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and substance use disorders (Medicaid members and state-funded recipients) get the services they need to improve well-being and live fulfilling lives. We are dedicated to carrying out our mission by investing in the health and well-being of the communities we serve and empowering individuals with access to services, tools and resources to live a fulfilling life. What would you do if someone was in crisis? This month, 18 staff members from the Wilson County Department of Social Services completed Community Crisis Intervention training. They learned more about substance use disorder, suicide prevention, and verbal de-escalation. Now they’re better equipped to support people in our community facing mental health and behavioral health challenges! To learn more about our community training programs, visit https://lnkd.in/e6cybpK7.

  • This month, while people across the country participated in Buddy Walks for Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Daniel Chaplin crossed the finish line at a half-marathon in Missouri. He became the first person with Down syndrome to complete a half-marathon in every state. What an achievement! His accomplishment is a powerful reminder that people with Down syndrome have their own unique strengths, talents, and challenges, just like everyone else. Congratulations, Daniel!

  • Facing illness can be overwhelming, both for the body and mind. This new journal, designed in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Depression Awareness Month, can help you navigate both. • At Trillium, we’re guided by the belief that everyone deserves the best care possible. We know that some people face extra challenges in getting care. It’s why we work hard to find health equity solutions for every community and person we serve. Our health equity efforts were recently recognized by the Disparities Leadership Program, which selected Trillium as the Best Overall Project! Congratulations to the dedicated team leading this goal for Trillium: 👉 Cindy Ehlers, Chief Operations Officer 👉 Senitria Goodman, Chief Compliance Officer/General Counsel 👉 Hayley Sink, Director of Health Equity and Innovation 👉 LaDonna Latney-Battle, Care Management and Population Health Officer Learn more at https://lnkd.in/evy89VNp.

  • As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re highlighting the rich stories and perspectives of our Hispanic and Latin staff members. This month reminds us of the power of stopping to celebrating diverse cultures—and the value of being seen. We’ve shared some insights from Yasmin and Isaías, who reflect on the joy of their culture, the importance of their heritage, and some myths they want to debunk. Thank you to them both for sharing their perspectives with us! We’re honored to hear their stories and witness their contributions, this month and every month.

  • Did you know? Hispanic and Latin people are more likely to have health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, asthma, heart disease, and kidney disease than white Americans. (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health) Trillium believes that understanding and celebrating diverse backgrounds improves the care we provide. We aim to honor these contributions and challenges during Hispanic Heritage Month and all year long. Read our October blog for more insights into how we’re celebrating and supporting the Hispanic community. https://lnkd.in/egQpkdFb

  • In honor of #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re focusing on the importance of mental health at work—because well-being should be a part of every job. At Trillium, we know that taking care of our members begins with supporting and developing our team. Today, we gathered virtually for a Self-Care Hour with meditation, yoga, and to reflect on the simple but powerful practice of gratitude. How do you take care of your mental health at work? What can employers do to help workers focus on wellness? Share your ideas in the comments below!
