The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. hosted Columbus City Schools - Ohio STEM Industry Council to make plans for Career Readiness Training by Expanding Visions Foundation, a career fair with Ohio Department of Transportation, DriveOhio, Worthington Enterprises, CCI Engineering Services and more, and discussed work based learning opportunities and funding with John Hambrick and the Education Service Center of Central Ohio for the 2024-25 school year and internship season. This was a great first meeting in our new training room. Special thanks to all who attended with a focus on student success and workforce development. MSG is pleased to welcome Nancy Lyon-Stadler, PE, PTOE as our Transportation Planning Sector Leader. “We are pleased to bring Nancy to our team. Her character and experience are unparalleled. The skills she offers in transportation planning opens up a new service for our clients,” said Lloyd MacAdam, PE, PS, MSG’s Transportation Operations Director. Nancy’s expertise in traffic engineering and transportation planning is built on 36 years in the industry, working throughout North America. Prior to working as a consulting engineer, Nancy served as a civil engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force. At MSG, her work will focus on traffic operations, integrating transportation planning and design with and roadway design and land use planning for all modes – motorized traffic, bicycles, pedestrians, and transit. Nancy has led projects ranging in size, complexity and combinations of transportation modes, from planning through design and construction. Her experience includes working with clients to frame and integrate emerging technologies, initiatives and best practices. She is an excellent facilitator with extensive public involvement and facilitation experience, with the ability to explain technically complex information in a clear and straightforward manner, brokering successful solutions that address community and project needs. Her work and personal passions are intertwined: Nancy seeks to improve the quality of life at both organizational and community levels, with a passion for livability and safety. She believes in paying it forward and is an ardent supporter of STEM education.
