As part of National Apprenticeship Week Mick Farr got back on his tools to become an 'Apprentice for the Day' working with Oscar, our first year Mechanical Apprentice at the CATCH.
As its apprentice week and as a former craft apprentice myself (my deed with the CEGB below from 1981!) I spent this morning with one or our mechanical apprentices Oscar at the CATCH training centre in Humberside. We both made a weld gauge using hand tools and I can honestly say (from first hand experience) that those foundation skills have never left me. It’s a fantastic way to start any career and Triton Power proudly supports the next generation as we deliver much needed reliable energy to the UK.
