Did you know that 1.3 billion tons of food goes uneaten globally every year, and of that amount, millions of pounds of waste is thrown away? At Tropicana Brands Group, we’re actively working to minimize waste. At our Bradenton facility, our oranges are not only used to make delicious juice; we also find ways to utilize the whole orange. We repurpose orange peels into animal feed, and extract orange peel oil, which is utilized in both food products and industrial solvents. Additionally, pulp is then efficiently extracted and reintegrated into our range of pulped finished products. Overall, this practice ensures an effective use of resources that might otherwise be discarded. Through these initiatives, we’re illustrating our commitment to incorporating smart thinking, using efficient practices, and leveraging new technology to support sustainable agriculture within TBG’s global supply chain.🍊
