"Rain rain go away" 💦 ➡ Project: Pirates Voyage Customer: Cardella Construction Company Location: Panama City Beach, FL Scope: Overbuild trusses, metal deck Sometimes the smaller jobs can have a big impact on the project. In this case, it was our job to ensure that none of the rain/water/hurricane juice could stay on this roof. Our crew fabricated and installed overbuild trusses in order two tie together two roof planes. This created a funnel for all water to get to the edge of the roof, and off the roof. We appreciate Cardella and their team for trusting us to deliver great work as well as their partnership in this process. #BlackPurlin ☠

Project: Habersham Church Location: Beaufort, SC GC: Hill Construction Between heavy timber, SIP panels, and wood framing, wood was the name of the game for the team on this unique structure. Truss Link was in the field 🚧 this weekend, but not working on construction. The TL team traded in our hard hats 👷♂️ and safety glasses for hairnets and plastic gloves 🧤 as we spent some time Sunday volunteering for Rise Against Hunger. Our team had a blast helping to pack over 15,000 meals 🍲 in just over an hour as part of our quarterly volunteering efforts. The meals, which include food and a vitamin pack, will be shipped all over the world to communities in need of emergency nutrition. In the days before 3D-printed walls, solar panel roof shingles, and CLT, when Homasote, blueprint machines, and Tectum deck were all the rage, Truss Link was beginning its journey! This 54,000 sq. ft. building will provide an expansion of the school's footprint that has been in the works since original funding for architecture was granted in 1999. Our team was responsible for the design, fabrication, and installation of light gauge trusses and metal decking. Drone photography helps highlight the complexities of this job including multiple roof geometries and the inclusion of a mansard feature.
