Susan, who began her career as an engineering student in 1994 at TEP, established herself as a collaborative, inclusive leader who inspires a culture of safety, recognition and transparency through a values-driven approach. She was named Vice President of Energy Delivery in 2015 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2019. She was named President in January 2020 and became CEO in January 2021. Susan leads the company’s efforts to advance economic development in the communities we serve as the board Chair of Sun Corridor Inc., as well as sitting on boards for the Southern Arizona Leadership Council and the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management and College of Engineering. She also collaborates with utility peers through service on boards for the Edison Electric Institute and Western Energy Institute. She brings her industry experience and leadership acumen to the board for Central Hudson Gas & Electric. We're starting our celebration tonight at the Mexican Independence Day fiesta and concert at the Linda Ronstadt Concert Hall with the Mexican Consulate of Tucson and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. TEP is a sponsor of the event as part of our support of diversity, equity and inclusion in our community. The month is traditionally celebrated each year Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans in the United States.
