Connie Rentschler is our October 2024 Featured Employee-Owner! Three words come up often when talking with Connie: pride, connection, and resilience. The purchasing coordinator, who recently returned to live closer to her children and grandchildren in her native Cincinnati, Ohio, started with TVF in September of 2010 as a part-time member of our supply chain team. Connie’s day-to-day responsibilities focus largely on serving as the bridge between her team, sales, customer support, and laminating and print vendors throughout the world. “I take pride in fostering strong relationships with our vendors and ensuring that our orders are expedited on time,” she says. Connie has been a valued supply chain teammate, which numbered only four when she started. “Today, we have a total of 11… With all of the growth and changes TVF has gone through (over the last 14 years), I continue to be resilient.” A member of the Ownership & Engagement Board (employee-owners from all corners of TVF who support the ownership mindset and work to boost TVF’s culture and connectedness), Connie’s ingenuity, logistical savvy, and creative problem solving have been invaluable to the OEB for the last four years. She says employee ownership is “like having a second family, feeling a sense of security and teamwork. I love being on the OEB! I love the connection the OEB has and the commitment towards making things happen at TVF.” Of TVF’s five Core Values that guide our interactions inside and outside the company, Connie most relates to Help People Succeed. “I love it when I can help the sales and customer support teams – or anyone within our company – accomplish something that benefits the company.” Outside of work, Connie says “the most important thing to me is my family… and I absolutely LOVE being a grandma!” She is a serious DIYer who also enjoys bike riding, walking, and giving back to her community through volunteering with the Make Good Decisions program within Indiana Youth Services Association. The program was created following the untimely death of her daughter's high school friend. It focuses on educating Indiana teens and young adults about the dangers of underage drinking and the Indiana Lifeline Law. #TVFCommunity 🧡🧡
