I am incredibly excited to announce that I am joining the team at the Tyson Group as the Vice President of Research Integration. In this role I will connect existing areas of excellence within the Tyson Group and create new opportunities by leveraging current and ongoing research. In a nutshell, I will be integrating academic research into their business offerings, and bringing these insights back to the classroom. I couldn't think of a more perfect role. First, with the growth in technology/data and increasing competition and customer demands, many sales organizations are adopting more of a scientific approach to their sales management strategies. With my background in sales research, data analytics, and content creation, I believe I can add a great deal of value to sales organizations and ultimately improve performance. Second, as academia sometimes becomes disconnected from real-world circumstances, this position provides me an opportunity to stay immersed in real selling practices and business challenges, which I can leverage to update my current sales curriculum and insights for students across all levels. Third, I love sales. To be more engaged and have more meaningful conversations across all levels from a college freshman to the highest levels in the C-suite is the absolute dream job. I have to give a huge shout-out to everyone on the Tyson Group team and particularly, Lance Tyson and Monica Gerbini Hershenhorn for trusting in me and the incredibly warm welcome and onboarding. I am not leaving Ohio University and will still be very actively engaged at all The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre events and working with all of our current corporate partners and students.
