UNIQUE BY NAME, UNIQUE BY DNA! The Darkmoon collection by U-BOAT is enriched with a new specimen that has made its uniqueness its own name. A watch that seems to emerge from the depths of the sea, from unexplored abysses, from places forgotten over time. Always fascinated by vintage objects, with a story to tell and shaped by time, Italo Fontana, designer of U-BOAT, decides to apply this passion of his to the Darkmoon collection, creating a one-of-a-kind 44mm watch: Unico! A bridge between the past and the future, a numbered edition watch that plays with modernity and the stylistic elements of the past. A highly individual creation, a testament to craftsmanship and "handmade," since each piece will always be different from the others. Characterized by a bronze PVD steel case, Unico has received a special manual treatment with various overlapped acids, in order to create an oxidized and antiqued effect that also involved the dial under the high-quality anti-reflective domed sapphire glass. The case is then completely filled with an oil bath, according to the innovative Oil Immersion concept, combined with the compensating bubble and the also domed dial, with black numbers and indices, amplifying the three-dimensional visual effect on the latter and the imperfections, always different, given by oxidation and which make each watch "one of a kind." #watchesandwonders #uboatwatch #darkmoon #italofontana

AT WATCHES & WONDERS, NEW "GEOMETRIES" FOR U-BOAT CHIMERA At the 2024 edition of the exclusive Geneva fair, Italo Fontana presents three new Chimera models, in chronograph and time-only versions, with a dial featuring a special striped motif. Parallel lines that outline and shape the concept of time. They stretch it, soften it as if to extend it towards infinity. New geometries, new three-dimensionality, new spaces and grooves intrigue the sight and allow the observer to experience and perceive the passage of hours, minutes, and seconds with a different vision. Always one of the most distinctive designs of the watchmaker from Lucca with its bold and characteristic character, the Chimera model now acquires new geometries and three-dimensionality, through a new fluted dial.  A wavy metal surface composed of regular stripes running horizontally across the entire two-level dial, surprises in three different shades: black, green, and blue. #watches #watchesandwonders #geneva #novelty #uboatwatch
