The team shared information about different vocations and career paths requiring college degrees with 6th, 7th & 8th graders. #MeetTheTeamTuesday Meet Jesse Hall. Jesse is a Lock Master at Kentucky Lock. He has been here since October 2022 after previously serving as the lead maintenance mechanic at Olmstead Locks and Dam on the Ohio River. Here, he manages many aspects of Kentucky Lock operations such as schedules of lock operators, day-to-day maintenance, large scale maintenance, budget, and employee administrative actions. When asked what he enjoys most about his job: "The ability to help my employees and I strive to make Kentucky Lock a place they want to come to work. We spend more time at work than we do our own families and there is no reason to dislike your place of work. I enjoy seeing some of the local policies I have set in place to make this happen work and enjoy helping my employees get to where they want to be with the Corps of Engineers." Col. Phillip Valenti, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division deputy commander, visited Center Hill Dam Aug. 22, 2024. He toured the dam and powerhouse and met with employees to understand ongoing operations and challenges. The project is located on the Caney Fork River in Lancaster, Tennessee. Recognizing Excellence! Col. Phillip Valenti, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division deputy commander, presented coins on behalf of the commanding general to Kyle Mosakowski, Teresa Perry, and Coy Bryant, duriing a visit to Center Hill Dam Aug. 22, 2024. Kyle was instrumental in the remote operations rehab for Center Hill Dam Powerhouse. He installed the relaying for all generators, transformers and auxillary equipment. Teresa volunteered to assist the Center Hill Powerplant as office assistant while also performing her duties as the area maintenance coordinator. Coy provided engineering services for a bridge repair at Dale Hollow Dam and chain replacement at Cordell Hull Dam in the Mid-Cumberland area. 📸 Lee Roberts
