The 90-minute tour provides a unique opportunity to learn how engineering, optical and manufacturing techniques are used to create the most advanced giant telescopes in the world on our campus. This summer we had 70+ College of Science students placed in Job Shadow experiences to expand their knowledge about industries, job functions, and employer culture at participating organizations. Students visited a wide range of companies including Mister Carwash, Netflix, Arizona Department of Child Safety, GoDaddy, Education First, Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, Modular Mining, Town of Marana, GoDaddy, TPD Crime Lab, and many more! We had over 30 hosts including alumni, community, and corporate partners that helped to make our program a success. This experience wouldn’t be possible without our highly engaged hosts, we want to extend a thank you to everyone who hosted one of our students for a professional development experience this summer.
