About us

Established in 1933, the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Florida offers the only professionally-accredited Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program in the State of Florida. It is also home to the State’s oldest graduate Landscape Architecture program, offering both an accredited Masters and a Ph.D. concentration in landscape architecture. In the U.S. News & World Report rankings, the University of Florida is ranked as a Top 5 public university. The mission of the Department of Landscape Architecture is to conduct research to enhance the understanding and practice of the profession of landscape architecture, and address societal challenges; train practitioners and scholars who are committed to advancing the efficacy, impact and knowledge of the discipline of landscape architecture; and provide service to the diverse communities of our state, region and abroad.
