Yesterday, UHA associates volunteered at the Aloha ʻIa ʻO Waiʻanae: Community Resource Fair, hosted by Kids Hurt Too Hawaii. This amazing nonprofit is committed to supporting youth and families affected by grief and trauma, offering mental health resources, mentorship, and community-building initiatives. The event featured a food and supplies distribution to help alleviate food insecurity for families ahead of spring break, while also marking the exciting launch of new community programs along the Waiʻanae Coast. Together, we are building a stronger island community! 🌺

What an amazing time at Aiea High School's Stop the Bleed event! 🩸 UHA’s Dr. Ping, along with doctors from Queens Medical Center, Straub ER, Oahu Search and Rescue, and a JABSOM student, taught 75 Health Service Academy students life-saving skills like wound packing, direct pressure, and tourniquet use. This program empowers bystanders to act in emergencies, and the thankful students left with UHA swag bags! We’re proud to help inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes. 💙 #StopTheBleed #uhahealth

What a special day it was as UHA blessed and celebrated our newly renovated office! We began by having the space blessed with a traditional Hawaiian blessing from a Kahu, and a spectacular Chinese lion dance to usher in good fortune. Associates fed the lion lai see, bringing good luck and prosperity to all. Our dim sum luncheon was shared with honored guests Jennine Sullivan, Executive Director of The Pantry by Feeding Hawaii Together and Joanne Hayashi, Co-Founder and President of Breast Cancer Hawaii. To top it off, the day ended on a meaningful note with donations to both organizations, rounding out an unforgettable celebration of connection and new beginnings. A heartfelt mahalo to all who were part of creating this wonderful moment and celebration!

This week, UHA proudly sponsored Kahala Nui's Walk Together Wednesday. Keli'i from our Workplace Wellness team guided over 50 residents and employees through a revitalizing stretch and walk, followed by a delicious acai bowl to cool down. It was a perfect day of movement, connection, and fun! 🌞 Here’s to walking together, staying healthy, and sharing smiles.
