🏆 We're proud to share that Prof Yeng Ming Lam has been named 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐔𝐋-𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍-𝐔.𝐒. 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 (𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲)! 🎉 She was one of the two regional finalists in the Senior Scientist category to compete in a head-to-head pitch on 11 October 2024, at the 86th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI-86). Prof Lam, Department Chair of NTU School of Materials Science and Engineering and the President's Chair in Materials Science and Engineering, was recognised for her work in developing functional nanomaterials to create a sustainable environment. Her research, which aligns with this year's theme - Climate Resilience and Adaptation, is at the forefront of designing advanced nanomaterials for #SustainableAgriculture, #LandRestoration and #SolarEnergy harvesting. Her recent investigations into sustainable #PolymerDegradation mechanisms contribute to advancing the #CircularEconomy of #plastics. ♻️ Prof Lam's research portfolio is integral to building a resilient future in the face of #ClimateChange 🌏 Besides her scientific contributions, Prof Lam is a passionate advocate for #WomenInScience.
