UMusic Hotels is excited to feature the artwork of Maseda. A lifelong Spaniard, Maseda fuses elements of street art with the precision of academic painting to create his own visual language.     Found in UMusic Hotel Madrid’s corridors and rooms of the F4 Carretas Building, his latest collection of work, 27’s club, pays tribute to icons Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Basquiat.      Capturing the inner turmoil and unique creativity of these artists, his paintings reflect his own struggle for self-expression in society. “It is very easy to express my feelings on canvas, but not with people. UMusic Hotels is excited to feature Hugo Sfhir, whose artwork has left an indelible mark on his hometown of Madrid.    At UMusic Hotel Madrid you’ll see Sfhir’s graphic portraits, featuring iconic musicians like Amy Winehouse and Freddy Mercury, on the 3rd and 4th floors of our Paz building, our Nola Alta rooftop space and by our pool.     Sfhir’s work taps into the intricacies of the human experience using hyper realism and themes of nature and graffiti to create provocative pop art.
