🌍 On #WorldFoodDay, we’re reminded that access to nutritious food is essential, yet millions around the world still face food insecurity. 🌱 What does hope look like in a garden? For Namuddu in Uganda, it looks like rich, fertile soil, banana trees and crops that not only feed her family but also bring stability. 🌾 With the support of Unbound’s Kampala program, Namuddu learned sustainable farming techniques that transformed her livelihood. Living with diabetes can be challenging, but no one should have to face it alone. Research indicates that social connection and generosity could improve the health outcomes of people with diabetes. Patients with diabetes who participate in Unbound's special program will: 🤝 Be partnered with an elderly friend with diabetes in the Philippines. 🩺 Contribute support of $40 per month for their sponsored friends which will help with basic needs and medical care such as clinical visits, access to support groups, community activities, medication, transportation and more. 💌 Through correspondence with their friend, share stories, offer advice, and find strength in each other's journeys. ☎️ Participate in at least three 20-30 minute surveys online or by telephone over the course of 12 months to self-report their own health outcomes.
