This week, we're highlighting some of the sessions from our All-Community Meet-Up in Chicago earlier this month. A huge thank you to Sharon Arellano who moderated our "Building Inclusive Cultures" panel with fellow Nostos members Lili Hall, Jan Wojtasinski, Natalie Mbogo, and Michelle Spear Nicholson. The group covered a lot of ground in their discussion, but here are a few key takeaways: ⏳ As agency leaders we are all juggling a lot at once and our time and attention are finite. Having tools, structure, and processes in place to ensure that you are consistently inviting diversity into your conversations, your work, and your teams is crucial. 👯♀️ At the end of the day our industry is one built on human to human interactions. As humans, we hold beliefs that have been built over time, but might be creating roadblocks to the success that diversity can bring. 🌱 Overcoming these roadblocks and gently creating mindset shifts in your teams and/or with your clients is essential. ✨ Unfettered KNOCK Inc. This surprised us. Yet another example why getting out and talking to your customers (or having us do it for you) can open eyes that don’t see things from the office.
Gen Z say they want more human interaction in certain consumer experiences that have totally removed the human element. When AI starts to alienate the generation it was meant to cater to, you know there’s an issue with your CX strategy. We’ve been on the road moderating focus groups and talking with consumers from a range of demographics, but I was surprised to hear this sentiment echoed strongly from our Gen Z cohort. A good reminder for brands and businesses to not just assume new technology will be a net positive for the consumer experience... when you go all in on tech, you run the risk of losing your customers along the way. #consumerinsights #brandstrategy #independentagency #qualitativeresearch
Last week we had the privilege and pleasure to join our friends and colleagues in the Nostos Network for an annual get together of camaraderie, information sharing, networking and more in Chicago. We already knew we had joined an amazing group of independent agencies and entrepreneurs who left the holding company model behind in a quest do it a better way. We didn't know just how damn nice all of these people were, in addition to being amazing at what they do. We can't wait to explore the new relationships that were kindled, and partner up with others to tackle big challenges together doing what we all do best.
