Last week, the Washington DC Trade Association joined together to provide new shoes to 500 students at Suitland Elementary School as part of the Soles4theDistrict Campaign. So far, $62,000 has been raised to provide new shoes to 3100 local students experiencing homelessness. While this was a great start, there are still over 16,500 children experiencing homelessness in the DMV area who could benefit from new footwear. Every contribution counts. Whether you can donate $20 for one pair or $100 for five pairs, your generosity will directly impact a child's life. New shoes not only provide comfort but also boost confidence and remove barriers to educational opportunities. https://lnkd.in/eReSx7mt Special thanks to our participating associations: American Petroleum Institute - Global Industry Services U.S. Travel Association National Retail Federation American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) Consumer Technology Association American Council of Life Insurers - ACLI U.S. Chamber of Commerce PhRMA And our sponsors: CGCN Group Freeman Company Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck #nonprofit #dogood #impact #makeadifference #Soles4Souls #shoes
