Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County recently moved to their new West Palm Beach location and their Basics4Babies emergency food pantry was ready to be packed with the essentials. This vital pantry provides formula, baby food, and diapers to children in our community from birth to three years old whose families are navigating financial hardships. In collaboration with Women United, volunteers from the community and Tanger Outlets came together to stock the pantry's shelves with diapers, ensuring it was ready for its official opening day. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who dedicated their afternoon to supporting families in our community.

A huge thank you to the Hunger Heroes who generously volunteered their time and energy to scoop, pour, and pack pasta meals as part of the inaugural Day of 200,000 Meals with Palm Beach County Food Bank and Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The goal for this monumental event was surpassed with a total of 240,000 meals packed in just one day! This remarkable achievement not only highlights the power of community but also the significant impact we can make together in the fight against hunger in Palm Beach County.

Earlier this month, our Mentor Center team had the pleasure of attending Xcel Mentoring Network Florida's Trade Expo! This exciting event enabled attendees to discover their passions and engage in hands-on experiences across various trades. Xcel's innovative approach to mentoring and experiential learning delivers exceptional programming that breaks through barriers, ensuring accessibility to individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire essential skills needed for a career in a trade or vocation.

Our Executive Vice President of Community Investments, Seth Bernstein, Psy.D., was a featured guest speaker at the Center for Child Counseling, Inc.'s Lead the Fight series led by Shannon Fox-Levine, MD, FAAP, President of the Beach Pediatric Society and Medical Director of Center for Child Counseling. Dr. Bernstein shared insights into the history of mental health support in schools over the past few decades and highlighted research that underscores the importance of early intervention and reaching children before formal diagnosis. Thank you, Dr. Bernstein, Dr. Shannon Fox-Levine, and guest speaker, Dr. Mary Claire Mucenic, Director of Behavior and Mental Health for The School District of Palm Beach County, for bringing awareness to this crucial issue. 📸: Center for Child Counseling
