About us
United Way envisions a community united in its efforts to ensure that individuals and families achieve their full potential. Our Mission is to inspire and coordinate the generosity and commitment that sustains a united, thriving community. United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is a locally-based non-profit organization supporting a vital network of health and human services, programs, and initiatives in New London County, CT that work together to help people in need and improve community conditions. We create opportunities for a better life for all, focusing on helping children to thrive, providing basic human needs, and promoting independence, and community wellness. We engage people, businesses, and organizations to bring the passion, expertise, and resources needed to get things done. We also operate the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center which provides food to the local emergency food system, at no cost to those in need, and support United Way supports 2-1-1 Connecticut for free information and referral 24/7. Everyone is invited to #LiveUnited, by getting engaged with United Way and our community.
