UWS USA celebrates #Internationalyouthday! A staggering 244 million children are not enrolled in formal education, approximately 387 million primary school-age children, and 230 million lower-secondary school-age adolescents are not achieving minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics. UWS envisions a world where every child can reach their full potential through education. Since 2008, we have enrolled over 65,000 students in the countries we serve. We are also working to identify at-risk students of early school dropout and provide tailored interventions to support student retention. 5,479 young people have been supported by the Dropout Prevention Project in UWS schools across Cambodia and Nepal! 📚
