University Cancer & Blood Center is proud to be at the forefront of prostate cancer treatment. As we come to the end of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we're highlighting our Theranostics program. Theranostics is a personalized approach to treating cancer, using both diagnostics (imaging) and therapy tools as part of the treatment. Custom Theranostic treatment plans can be devised that are unique to each individual, ensuring that the most effective treatment is administered at the right time. UCBC offers multiple Theranostics treatments, including Pluvicto®. Pluvicto® (lutetium Lu 177 vipivotide tetraxetan) is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have already been treated with other anticancer treatments. Did you know tomorrow is World Lung Day? Smoking is the number one risk factor for lung cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women. Nonsmokers and smokers alike can take other steps to decrease their cancer risk by exercising and eating healthily, limiting alcohol intake, and getting early screenings if they have a family history of lung cancer or are otherwise at higher risk. #WorldLungDay Read "Lung Cancer Essentials" to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eh9N5Q4i
