If you're a regular wheelchair user, please consider supporting our work funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)! Complete the survey here: https://myumi.ch/Q6X3b #NationalAccessibleAirTravelDay
#NationalAccessibleAirTravelDay Our team at UMTRI has funding from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) to evaluate the crashworthiness of WC19 wheelchairs under FAA conditions for aircraft seating. We are proud to be assisting those working to allow people to use their own wheelchairs on aircraft, and will be sharing some results at the All Wheels Up meeting next month. If you regularly use a wheelchair, you can help our research to make travel safer and more independent across multiple transportation modes by taking our wheelchair users travel survey linked below.

UMTRI is celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) passing! The ADA increased transportation options for people with disabilities, including those who travel while seated in their wheelchairs. We know there is still room for improvement across all transportation modes. If you use a wheelchair and are aged 18 or older, please consider taking our brief survey to share your experience. The results from this survey will help us advance equitable transportation. You could win one of 12 $25 Amazon gift cards! Take the survey: https://myumi.ch/Q6X3b
