Really impressive track record for this 1985 alum! Congratulations and thank you!
After 20 remarkable years with AET, our President and Chief Growth Officer, David Rettner, has decided to retire at the end of this year. Dave's tenure at AET—from Principal Engineer to SVP to President to Chief Growth Officer—has been marked by a relentless focus on technical excellence and expanding AET's reach and capabilities. Throughout his career, which began at MnDOT in 1985 as an assistant pavement engineer, Dave has pioneered many pavement-related initiatives. He was instrumental in advocating for and implementing MnROAD, a pavement test track that provides detailed pavement performance data and has received national recognition. Upon joining Team AET, Dave established our Design-Build Program and Pavement Department, which now serves the industry nationwide. Over the last year, Dave has been critical in leading AET's client engagement and growth strategies while overseeing quality, innovation, and business development. His efforts in these areas will help guide AET well into the future. Dave's contributions to AET have been immense and he will be greatly missed. Over the next few months, Dave will continue to lead AET's growth and client engagement efforts and serve as an advisor across teams as he transitions his relationships and vast industry knowledge. Please join us in congratulating Dave on an exceptional career and wishing him well in this next chapter, wherever it may be.

In this and so many other ways the ASCE Younger Members Group is a great support for future engineers. YMG is a great way to start your "career" of giving back!
Happy Monday ASCE Younger Members! We have an exciting volunteer opportunity to connect to one of our local student chapters at the University of Minnesota. Each year, ASCE at the University of Minnesota hosts a professional development week to help prepare students to present themselves to employers. This year they are hosting an ASCE Mock Interview Night, which will be exclusive to ASCE Minnesota YMG Members. At this event, volunteers from various companies will be able to talk with students about how they can enhance their interview skills and expand their network in the industry. The event will be hosted on Thursday, October 3rd from 6 to 7 pm in Room 210 of the Civil Engineering Building (500 Pillsbury Dr SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455). Volunteers will be provided food at the event and attendees should bring a red pen or some other way to mark up students' resumes and give advice. Please RSVP at this link to ensure an accurate headcount for food: https://lnkd.in/g95eN2uM Registration is limited to ensure an ideal student-to-professional ratio, so register ASAP if you'd like to participate! If you have any questions reach out to Maren Mosley at ymg.president@ascemn.org
