Thank you University Health for your support throughout this TexasAIM HTN Collaborative. We have come along way since our first session down in Corpus Christi in Feb 2023 to where we met yesterday up in Austin at the TexasAIM HTN Harvest Meeting. Yesterday was a celebration and recognition of all the work that has been done and where our focus needs to be as we continue to improve outcomes for our moms and babies. Thankful to share our work with the rest of the state alongside Marisol Breton-leija, Brook Thomson and Angela Castillo. Not pictured but equally important to our efforts for this collab, Natalie Acovio-Galindo, Cynthia Ledesma, Patrick Ramsey and Dr Vanarendonk, and Renata Marquez !

West Nile Virus has been detected in Bexar County mosquitos. Many infected people have mild or no symptoms, but some can get very sick, paralyzed, or die. It took a few short hours for a 225-ton crane to lift a 5,000-lb PHI Air Medical helicopter off the helipad at University Health. The street is open and car traffic is back to normal, but helicopter traffic was never affected – as a Level I trauma center, University Hospital has multiple helicopter landing sites for ours and other helicopters, including our special service reserved for emergency maternity and pediatric cases from across the state. #emergencycare #emshelicopter #helicopterambulance
