What a full day of inspiration, community and empowerment at the 2024 #TXConfWomen! A group of #UniversityLands women had the privilege of attending the conference, joining thousands of women from all walks of life there to uplift, encourage and learn from one another. We were reminded that when women unite, there's no limit to what we can achieve. We also loved connecting with our The University of Texas System colleagues for a grand photo op! #PowerInUnity

As I wrap up my summer internship as a Reservoir Engineer at University Lands, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible experience and the opportunities for career growth that I was fortunate enough to have. This internship allowed me to deepen my understanding of reservoir engineering, particularly in simulation and modeling. I had the chance to work with cutting-edge tools like Petrel, which enhanced my ability to analyze and optimize reservoir performance. I want to take a moment and thank my supervisor, Hongjie X., for his guidance and mentorship throughout this journey. Your support and feedback have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from you. A special thank you to Antonia Jones for organizing the Midland Trip and ensuring we interns had a smooth and enriching experience. Your dedication made this internship even more memorable. I also want to express my gratitude to my mentor, Moshmee Kalamkar, for your constant encouragement and wisdom. Your advice has been a cornerstone of my development during this internship. Additionally, I’d like to thank everyone at University Lands for creating such a collaborative and supportive environment. Working alongside such talented professionals has been a privilege. Finally, I want to thank my fellow interns for their camaraderie and shared experiences. It was a pleasure working with all of you, and I’m excited to see where our paths will lead. A special thank you to Susan Masson, Abby Pollard, and Joshua Seils from the University of Texas System for organizing impactful PDP sessions and an unforgettable summit in Austin. This internship has been a transformative chapter in my career, and I’m excited to carry forward the lessons and experiences I’ve gained. Here’s to the next steps! #ReservoirEngineering #InternshipExperience #UniversityLands #EOR #CO2Sequestration #PetroleumEngineering #CareerGrowth #Mentorship #ProfessionalDevelopment #Gratitude

What a wonderful way to reflect on our Midland Trip with the interns this summer! A huge thanks to the video and digital marketing intern Jayden Ramirez at the UT System office and Shirley Gadot for putting this together. Both students study at the Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin and show a great passion for storytelling and digital design.
This is a day in the life of the Marketing and Communications intern for University Lands (UL). A senior advertising student at The University of Texas at Austin with a passion for art, history and learning new things, Shirley Gadot takes us on her trip to West Texas to see one UL partner, Sequitur Energy Resources, in action; visit the historic Santa Rita well; and observe wind turbines up close. Watch now.
