Juan Mejia Garcia is stepping into his senior year at Shadow Ridge High School, armed with new programming and web development skills, all thanks to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas IT Workforce Talent Pipeline program. Juan was able to create his first website while gaining invaluable insight into the world of IT. 💻 At last month's commencement, Juan and his peers reflected on their journey with mentors and faculty, emphasizing how early exposure to technology will benefit their future careers. 🧑💻 Leading the program, Xue (Cher) Xing, Ph.D., associate professor in career-technical and postsecondary education, reminded students that they are part of a global network of problem-solvers and innovators. “The world of IT is not just about technology, but about people... You are the architects of that future,” she stated. 🔗 Read more at https://buff.ly/3ZTiHv2 #STEM #ITWorkforce #Education #UNLV
