We are excited for the learning and resources our lead founder Shonqualla West, M. Ed will bring back to the team after two weeks in New York. Unparalleled Prep is setting up for a great launch in Fall 2025!

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We are beyond thrilled to share that the Texas State Board of Education has voted to approve Unparalleled Preparatory Academy! This monumental step brings us closer to redefining education through our innovative career acceleration charter school. The journey to this point has been filled with long nights and even longer days, but every moment has been worth it. We are filled with gratitude for this opportunity to serve the Manor community and beyond. Over the next 60 days, we eagerly await the opportunity to sign our contract, after which we will begin the process of accepting students and staff for the 2025-2026 school year. This is just the beginning of our mission to ignite creativity, cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit, and build critical thinking skills in an exciting and exploratory environment. A heartfelt thank you to: The Texas State Board of Education members who supported the UPA vision. The dedicated staff at Texas Education Agency and the Texas Public Charter School Association. The BES fellowship for the opportunity to do this work. All the leaders and community members who listened, participated, and supported us in making this vision come alive. Huge gratitude goes to the UPA founding board (Dr. Larry Wallace Jr., Erika Haskins, Charlie Haraway, MBA, ABD, Nicole Seltman, Jenny Young, Willie Adams, and Adriana Gamez), Superintendent Shonqualla West, M. Ed's leadership coach Dr. Chaundria Smith, and the Manor community for believing in the vision since day one and standing by us every step of the way. Welcoming Mrs. Charlene Haraway to the UPA Board of Directors! We're thrilled to introduce Charlene Drinkard Haraway, or Charlie Haraway, MBA, ABD, as a new member of the Unparalleled Preparatory Academy (UPA) Board. With a wealth of experience in business operations, finance, and education management, Charlie brings a dynamic perspective to our team. Charlie's educational journey, including her MBA from Baylor University and her current pursuit of a doctoral degree in Business Administration, reflects her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Her extensive background spans over 18 years, with significant contributions in both non-profit and for-profit sectors, including private-industry banking and education management. As an advocate for social responsibility and servant leadership, Charlie's passion for people and community shines through her work. She has a proven track record of driving impactful change through her involvement on various boards and her dedication to financial literacy training and volunteer work. Charlie's philosophy aligns seamlessly with UPA's mission of redefining education and empowering students to excel in their chosen fields. She believes that by investing in education and entrepreneurial systems, we can cultivate highly qualified, global-thinking, and diverse future generations. This aligns perfectly with UPA's goal of preparing students for postsecondary success and equipping them with the skills to thrive in a competitive marketplace. Through her company, Millennia Park LLC, Charlie has demonstrated her commitment to providing specialized finance, HR, and operations services to schools, nonprofits, and high social impact enterprises. Her expertise in financial governance and operational excellence will be invaluable as we work towards establishing UPA as a premier educational option in the Manor community. We are honored to have Charlie Haraway join our board, and we look forward to her contributions as we continue to build a school where every student can find their passion and purpose.
