UDS Project: Ken quoted in Palm Beach Post: The transformation comes as the region's population has swelled with high-income residents — many of them younger than the typical new Floridian — from the Northeast freed to work remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. The trend has led to a surge in demand for luxury apartments and urban-style living in an area long dominated by single-family homes and car trips everywhere “The significant increase in population has been driving pricing up for housing, so the face of Palm Beach County is changing,” said Ken Tuma, who represents developers with Urban Design Studio. https://lnkd.in/ejC44TcF

UDS Project: Exciting opening for this very important addition to the City of Riveria Beach. https://lnkd.in/e25_FUQT
✂️ Last week, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for Berkeley Landing, our newest affordable housing community in Riviera Beach. Developed in partnership with Wendover Housing Partners, the community marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing quality housing solutions. We're proud to play a part in addressing the need for affordable housing while contributing to the positive growth of City of Riviera Beach. Berkeley Landing offers 112 units, including 110 affordable apartments for residents earning 30-80% of Area Median Income. With 1-3 bedroom options and two market-rate live/work spaces, this development fosters an inclusive community while supporting neighborhood revitalization. Berkeley Landing would not have been possible without the City of Riviera Beach, Florida Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors, and the Palm Beach County board of county commissioners. Financing for Berkeley Landing includes funding from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation's allocation of housing tax credits leveraged by a contribution from the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency and both a low-interest loan and impact fee relief from Palm Beach County. The National Equity Fund, Inc., in collaboration with Bank of America, provided investment equity through tax credits, and construction financing was also secured through Bank of America. Neighborhood Lending Partners, Inc. is providing permanent financing for the Development. #affordablehousing #realestate #housingcrisis #workforcehousing #urbandevelopment #communityinvestment #economicdevelopment #smartgrowth #multifamily #sustainabledevelopment #CREnews #housingnews #urbanplanning #infrastructure #communitydevelopment
