UPDATE ON THE BEND | Here are some highlights of The Bend Chattanooga from this summer. Back in May, we began infrastructure construction on the North Phase to prepare pad-ready blocks for future development. The blocks have been graded, three roads shaped, and install for sanitary sewer, electric, and fiber utilities has started. TRIPLED MEMBERSHIP AT VALLEYBROOK! Great things are happening at Valleybrook, and we're thrilled to continue this exciting momentum as we redevelop the cherished course and club. We appreciate each and every new member who has joined over the past year and a half, leading us to more than triple our golf membership! We are also especially grateful for our legacy members who have stuck with us throughout the transition and have been welcoming to all the new faces. ICYMI | We announced the redevelopment of "Tennessee's First Shopping Center" in East Ridge earlier this year. We are revitalizing the 13-acre site, which sits across from one of the top Food City grocery stores in the state (see it in the background?) in an area just outside of the booming East Ridge development along I-75. Over the last several months, we've been leasing up vacant space and working hard to recruit regional and national retailers for our 40,000 SF anchor tenant box and outparcel areas. "A Dream Come True!" Chattanooga was awarded a $50 million HUD Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant for the revitalization of the One Westside community. The federal government selects only seven communities across the country, and we're extremely grateful that our city and the Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) were chosen. Yesterday, our team had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the James A. Henry community hub, which is the kickoff project for the Westside Evolves development plan across from The Bend Chattanooga. What an exciting week!
