Funders, this is a crucial time to stand with Georgian civil society working to defend feminist activism and freedom of expression. Georgia's recently passed Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence now forces NGOs to register as "foreign agents" if they receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad, jeopardizing their critical work and further stigmatizing civil society activists and organizations in Georgia. Kate Kroeger, Executive Director at Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism, Salome Chagelishvili from the Women's Fund in Georgia, and Nino Ugrekhelidze from the Dalan Fund co-authored an article in Alliance Magazine that examines how this law silences dissent and undermines human rights.
