About us

A GBBC initiative, a coalitions of state blockchains associations, organizations and influencers, led by representatives of TX, WA, CA, FL, WY, VA, AL, and PA, to support the hyperlocal community building efforts and provide education resources and policy best practices at the state level. It is imperative that states operate in collaboration to build policies that, when combined, form a strong platform for US companies. When Congress is once again a functioning body capable of effective legislation, that collection of well-formed, consistent state policies will serve as a strong baseline for future federal policy. Blockchain is a nascent industry with few companies strong enough financially to influence policy for their own interests, let alone for the entire industry. Blockchain lobbying and advocacy organizations of companies are by extension also weak standing alone. There are national and international associations of blockchain companies, but they are underfunded, fragmented, and focus on national or international legislation and regulatory bodies. There are state blockchain associations, but they range from small, partially funded organizations, with very few strong enough to influence state legislation, let alone build a national coalition. A federation of state blockchain associations can combine resources and talents to share best practices, lessons learned, improve operational efficiency, purchasing power, and, where needed, political influence. Also, in partnership with the right national and international blockchain associations, the federation can also contribute to and influence broader regulations to help the industry succeed. The mission is to share best practices, lessons learned, improve operational efficiency for each member, improve the purchasing power for the benefit of each member, and to consolidate political influence.
