The Chamber was proud to attend and support today’s design kickoff of the Law Enforcement Training Center. The Center, which will be located on UNT Dallas’ campus, will provide important and much needed support for our law enforcement officials. It was great to hear from our local and state officials including Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Sen. Royce West and Mayor Eric Johnson. Great seeing our local friends including Council Member Cara Mendelsohn, who is leading the charge on the Dallas Public Safety Committee, Council Member Gay Donnell Willis, Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins, and Council Member Paula Caldwell Blackmon Blackmon. The Chamber looks forward to supporting our state and local leaders as this important project moves forward.

The Chamber mourns the loss of Ratan Tata, a former chairman of Indian conglomerate Tata Sons. As described by PM Modi, Mr. Tata was, "a visionary leader, and a compassionate and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond boardrooms,” Rest In Peace Mr. Ratan Tata. https://lnkd.in/gcYya6HZ

A lot of news today with 2 DFW CEO’s announcing their retirement – Dallas Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall and DFW Airport CEO Sean Donohue. Both leaders have built and shaped their organizations into a local and international powerhouse. Cynt and Sean have also played an important role in positioning the DFW metroplex as a top market for business development and growth. The Chamber is thankful for their leadership and vision and their support for the Indian American business community. A quick throwback, Cynt provided a great keynote this year during our Women’s Conference and Sean was our guest speaker for our 2018 Annual Awards Banquet. We wish them the best as they began the next chapter of their remarkable careers. https://lnkd.in/gc2Xa7WQ https://lnkd.in/gVsc7QSb
