Sextortion is a particularly heinous type of blackmail used by offenders to acquire sexual content from teens or young children online. Protecting our children requires vigilance, on their part and ours. If they fall victim, please preserve the evidence and report the crime to local police, FBI or Homeland Security Investigations. On International Overdose Awareness Day, we thank our law enforcement partners and parent volunteers for joining us in attacking the scourge of deadly fentanyl from all sides. Together with our Assistant United States Attorneys, we have removed countless kilograms of fentanyl and fentanyl-laced drugs from Connecticut streets. And our HEAT program—which brings together experienced prosecutors, DEA agents, and parents who have lost a child to an opioid overdose---continues to educate Connecticut high school students that #OnePillCanKill. #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay
Counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl are still causing far too many overdose deaths. Learn more here about how you can help save lives, and pass it on. Everyone can act to end the scourge of this deadly poison. We are delighted to partner with DEA New England to help spread public awareness. #OnePillCanKill #FentanylAwareness www.dea.gov/onepill https://lnkd.in/eBB7SNZ5

Last week, I was honored to join the Chief Prosecutors Roundtable Panel at the National Black Prosecutors Association #NBPA Conference in Boston. Combining crime prevention and intervention strategies with traditional prosecution work, and fostering #CommunityEngagement in jurisdictions across the nation has enhanced #PublicSafety and the delivery of #Justice. I applaud my fellow U.S. Attorneys and state and local prosecutors from Connecticut and beyond who are doing this innovative and impactful work.

#NIBIN has been a game changer. It helps us connect ammunition to guns and guns to shooters, and allows us and our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to solve more crimes and hold more violent criminals accountable, making our communities safer. I thank #ATFBoston and CT Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection for their leadership in this area.
Connecticut has stood out as a model for the success of NIBIN. It has allowed us to solve crimes and bring individuals who are terrorizing our communities to justice.
