Loom has been a game changer for me. If you’ve not heard of it before, it’s a screen recording platform with some pretty advanced features for editing and comes with a built in AI function. And it has been incredibly helpful for me over the last couple of years. I’ve used it a lot for briefing and providing feedback on work. Written documents with screenshots are great, they can be cumbersome and time consuming to create. Whereas recording your screen and talking through the process of a task or providing feedback on specific elements can take 10 minutes or less and be a much more visual way of communicating. I’ve also used this for client work where I’ve delivered a more complex pieces. For example, I’ll provide any data/slides and then record a Loom to add extra context and bring everything together. And the feedback has been excellent: 👉 Internal team members find it really helpful to have the videos 👉 Clients appreciate the extra context and commentary and it reduces the need for ad hoc meetings If you’ve never tried it before then I’d thoroughly recommend it. The subscription price is minimal compared to how much more efficient you can be by using the platform.
