Updates

  • USOW was born out of one core motivator: our movement for gender equity will be stronger if we bring together leaders and organizations to strategize, mobilize, and drive impact together. Seven years later and that has never changed. While USOW is sunsetting, our work and mission will continue because of everyone who has taken action with us, and because of our incredible partners in the gender equity movement. We couldn’t be more grateful for your support, passion, and dedication to this fight. To this incredible community: we are so grateful for your partnership through the ups and downs, every hard fought win, the collective mourning, and the many firsts and historic moments.

  • Did you know that an estimated 16.9 million people across the country lack sufficient access to menstrual hygiene tools and education? It’s time to help end period poverty once and for all! Check out the toolkit that we made in partnership with The Flow Initiative and learn how you can partner with your local library and other shared spaces to help eliminate period poverty in your community at https://lnkd.in/dk2VwwyS Image description: A square graphic on a red background. The top half of the graphic has “Period Poverty” written twice in large, bold pink text behind a group of illustrated people holding poster signs with menstrual products on them. The bottom half of the graphic has large, bold white text that says, “Ending Period Poverty in Your Community:”. Below is white text that says, “Lessons Learned from Project Local Access.” “Project Local Access” is italicized. In the bottom right corner of the graphic are white U S O W and The Flow Initiative logos. There is a thick pink stripe to the left of the logos that extends to the left edge of the graphic.
