The US Play Coalition is accepting proposals for the 2025 National Conference on the Value of Play: CREATE, EXPLORE, INSPIRE until 11:59pm PT tonight (Nov 3)!! The conference will be held Apr 15-17, 2025, at Indiana University, Bloomington. “CREATE, EXPLORE, INSPIRE!” celebrates play as a dynamic, multifaceted experience that fuels creative ideas, art, and design; facilitates exploration of place and perspectives; and inspires individuals and communities. The conference will also highlight play in the classroom, play across the lifespan, play in libraries and community spaces, play in the workplace, play and technology, and play in relation to universal issues of access, equity, inclusion and more. This year, we will also feature an “outdoor track” – so you can spend time learning about play in outdoor and nature spaces, outside – fully & experientially immersed! Submit your application to present in one of the following theme tracks (detailed on the call website): - Creative & Innovative Play - Play Across the Lifespan - Accessible & Inclusive Play - Education & Play - Health, Recreation & Play - Nature Based & Outdoor Play - Designing for Play - Emerging Trends in Play - International/Global Play - Nuts & Bolts All conference presentation proposal submissions are peer reviewed using a double-blind process. The US Play Coalition is once again collaborating with Let's Move in Libraries and LaundryCares Foundation to create the Libraries, Learning & PLAY Forum for the 2025 National Conference on the Value of Play, April 15-17 at Indiana University Bloomington. Presentation proposals are being accepted through November 3. Submit an educational session proposal online at https://bit.ly/play-call25 and be sure to add LIBRARY FORUM before the session title to be considered for this lineup! “Play is a vital part of lifelong learning, and public libraries are community-based lifelong learning institutions,” says Noah Lenstra, PhD, Director of Let’s Move in Libraries. The Libraries, Learning & PLAY Forum will feature exemplars, case studies, best practices, lessons learned and big ideas. Learn how play is supported in public, school, and university libraries -  and consider how to most effectively collaborate with librarians at local, state, and national levels to advance play goals. “Play is the purest form of learning and public libraries help accelerate learning in all its forms.
