This is a great opportunity for positive youth development! Thank you to everyone involved for believing in our youth in juvenile justice services.
REALLY COOL ALERT - One Kind Act a Day is collaborating with Utah's Juvenile Justice and Youth Services Program together with Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs in a kindness initiative within JJYS facilities and the kids who reside there. One young lady stated, "I'm so grateful that people like you are willing to come here and teach us these things. It makes us feel seen and makes us feel like we have value." If this were the ONLY thing we did, it would be enough. They ARE seen, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to bring "kindness" to them. I applaud the staff at these facilities, I applaud their commitment to these kids, I applaud their willingness to support initiatives like these. MORE TO COME - kindness, murals, journals - I foresee great results. One young man in another facility stated, "What most see as a setback, will be an epic comeback." I believe him!! #onekindactaday hashtag #thepowerofkindness Glen Mills Brian Redd Nubia Peña Mason Bennett Claudia Loayza Fredrick Conway Brett Peterson Raquel Falabella Jon S. Pierpont

#TodayAtDHHS our leadership team spread out throughout Utah, from Logan to Hurricane, from Price to Vernal, from Salt Lake to Provo with a simple message for our staff: Thank you! Our 6,000 public servants at DHHS serve Utahns with maternal and infant health needs to those who need final dispositions on death certificates. We work on suicide prevention, juvenile justice, and we provide psychiatric treatment at the Utah State Hospital. And that's just a few really BIG things we do. We work hard because we love Utah. And we love our staff. Thank you to all the public servants during this Public Service Recognition Week. Want to see the A to Z? https://lnkd.in/gMdxTxTe
