Last night was the third annual Submit Button Bash celebrating all students and recent alumni who applied for nationally competitive awards this fall. Nobody loves a selfie more than UTEP President Dr. Heather Wilson, so this one's for her! Last week, we teamed up with the University Career Center to host the 2024 Student Worker Training! Our student workers gained valuable skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and career planning, while networking with employers from diverse industries and connecting with fellow UTEP student employees.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the first Fall 2024 meeting for the Edge Fellows Cohort V! We discussed the pivotal role these exceptional individuals play in fostering student success and were inspired by their invaluable insights on how we can continue to achieve this goal.   In addition to supporting students, our Fellows are instrumental in raising awareness of UTEP Edge among their colleagues and within their environments, highlighting the importance of this initiative across campus.   A heartfelt thank you to each of our Fellows who dedicate time from their busy schedules to ensure students are empowered and thriving. Your leadership and commitment to student growth make a lasting impact!

Faculty, office hours are one of the most impactful ways to support your students' success! These dedicated moments create space for meaningful one-on-one connections, allowing students to ask questions, clarify concepts, and explore their academic and career paths. By encouraging students to attend office hours, you can foster a deeper understanding of their needs and help them achieve those 'light bulb' moments.
