United Way of North Central Massachusetts reposted this
Fresh Films' Greater Boston filmmakers (and youth from 13 other cities) just wrapped an intensive and paid Adobe Premiere Pro Certification Internship. They dedicated over 65 hours to mastering editing, color, sound, and more, and we're thrilled to share that 91% passed the certification exam—well above the national average of 75%! They also learned about jobs in post from Fremantle and Roku's This Old House Ventures! Thanks to incredible Greater Boston area partners United Way of North Central Massachusetts, City of Boston YouthWorks, Boston After School & Beyond, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, MK3 Creative and other local supporters these interns not only received hourly wages and had exam costs covered, they also got the equipment and software they needed. We’re incredibly grateful for your help deepening filmmaking skills for these talented filmmakers. Here’s to more great collaborations ahead!

✨ Big news! ✨ State Sen. John Cronin and State Rep. Natalie Higgins presented Kory Eng, president and CEO of UWNCM and Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella with $500,000 in state funding for the Leominster Relief Fund. These funds will make a real difference for those hit hardest and still struggling to recover from the Sept. 11, 2023 flood. Thank you for your continued support!
