About us

The Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce was established in 1985 in Little Saigon, California. It is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization composed of business owners and corporate representatives throughout Southern California, United States and Southeast Asia. Thus far, it is the oldest and largest non-profit organization of its kind helping new businesses scale and established corporations thrive. The chamber continues to grow within the Vietnamese community while branching into other organizations.

  • How I Did It episode 06 with Lynda Tran Bui Lynda T. Bui is a U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee in the Central District of California, having been appointed in 2010. She enjoys being a fiduciary and has acted as a trustee, an examiner, receiver, and as chief wind down officer. In her fiduciary capacity, Ms. Bui has successfully administered many complicated cases and distributed hundreds of millions of dollars to creditors. When she’s not busy being a fiduciary, Ms. Bui practices law at Shulman Bastian Friedman & Bui LLP, which has offices in Orange County and Riverside. Ms. Bui helps business clients with workouts with creditors like the SBA, wind down, succession planning and bankruptcy. Her clients are in a variety of industries including real estate, retail, restaurant, manufacturing, logistics, banking, food services, non-profit, and professional services. Some of her private clients include small businesses, financial institutions, and high net worth individuals. Active in her professional community, Ms. Bui is currently serving a three-year elected term as a Director of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and will become its Secretary in the fall of 2024. She recently completed her two-year term as a Director of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Southern California. Ms. Bui served on the 2020 Small Business Reorganization Task Force, chaired by Chief Bankruptcy Judge Maureen Tighe. She attended the University of California at Los Angeles and Loyola Law School. Ready to return to her roots, Ms. Bui is excited to join VACOC where she hopes to contribute her years of experience and at the same time, learn from the many amazing Vietnamese American business owners.
