  • Valley County Health System (VCHS) has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. Out of all the Healthcare facilities in Nebraska, VCHS was one of four to receive this recognition. This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. "With all the economic uncertainty, staffing challenges, and folks wanting more flexible work setups, every company has to get clever about how they attract and hold onto talent," noted Dan Peres, President of Modern Healthcare. "The winners of the 2024 Best Places to Work awards really get it. They show us how vital it is to understand what employees want and need right now. With healthcare shifting so much, finding the right people is a top priority, and the winners know that keeping their team happy is the key to business success." Results from a recent VCHS employee survey as well as an extensive employer assessment were utilized by Modern Healthcare and Workforce Research Group during the assessment process. The assessment consisted of over 70 questions related to the workforce, diversity and inclusion, benefits, wellness initiatives, fun activities, and work-life balance. It is an absolute honor for VCHS to receive this recognition two years in a row,” says Nancy Glaubke, CEO. “We commend our team for their hard work and commitment to providing the highest quality of care with compassion, enthusiasm, and teamwork. They are what make VCHS a remarkable place to work!” VCHS will find out their ranking on the Best Places list and be celebrated at the 2024 Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Gala taking place October 10th in Nashville Tennessee.
