Twelve Vandalia Health hospitals were honored at the Centers for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) 2024 Donate Life West Virginia Hospital Challenge Awards at Stonewall Resort. Each year, hospitals participate in an initiative designed to increase awareness about organ and tissue donation and transplantation. During Donate Life Month in April, hospitals participate in and host a variety of activities to educate and raise awareness earning points toward the challenge.

Vandalia Health Network's FARMacy program pop-up farmers market will be at CAMC Primary Care - Princeton on Sept. 11, 2024, from 1 to 3:00 p.m. and ARH Primary Care - Beckley on Sept. 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. These events provide patients and community members with access to free fresh fruits and vegetables that help them improve their nutrition and overall health.

Residents, fellows, their families and program administrators had a great time socializing and watching baseball at GoMart Ballpark during the Vandalia Health Physician Recruitment sponsored Resident and Fellow Night. Lucas Hamrick, DO, chief fellow of the pulmonary critical care fellowship program at the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine, had the honor of throwing out the first pitch.

We are excited to welcome David Fletcher, MBA, to Vandalia Health as the System Director for Telehealth Operations. Fletcher has worked 25 years in health care, most recently as Associate Vice President of Telehealth at Geisinger overseeing all facets of the telehealth program. His experience also includes 13 years of helping lead telemedicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Fletcher holds a BS degree in Economics and Finance from Arkansas Tech University and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
