Varian is excited to announce a U.S. co-marketing and sales agreement with Embolx for the sale and market development of the Sniper Balloon Occlusion Microcatheter. Read the press release: https://bit.ly/3Y6kJ9a Sniper utilizes a pressure-directed balloon system for occlusion, altering blood flow-dynamics and controlling local blood pressure to precisely deliver embolic agents into target areas, effectively starving a tumor of blood supply while protecting surrounding healthy tissues. A decade ago, cancer care in Brazil faced significant gaps in both radiotherapy capacity and modern treatment capability. This forced patients to travel long distances and contend with extreme wait times to begin treatment. Today, the country is equipped with a large fleet of C-series linear accelerators thanks to a decade long partnership between Varian and the Brazilian Ministry of Health, slashing both wait times and the average distance patients must travel to receive radiotherapy for their cancer diagnosis. While there is still much work to be done to bridge the gap between rising cancer diagnoses and the current care infrastructure, we are extremely proud to have been part of such a transformational project to expand access to care for the world's fifth largest country. https://bit.ly/4cleCnD QR700018943

Varian's RapidArc Dynamic* solution aims to address one of the biggest challenges in breast cancer radiotherapy: balancing tumor control while minimizing toxicity. A recent study from the Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System highlights a promising approach — using a single-arc, two-modulated port plan. In a 13-patient cohort, this technique significantly reduced heart and lung doses compared to conventional two-arc VMAT plans, aligning with ASTRO’s guidelines for minimizing heart exposure. While more research is needed, these findings point to an exciting step forward for organ-sparing. Read the full abstract: https://bit.ly/4iIATxr Request more information on RapidArc Dynamic: https://bit.ly/437eXHI *RapidArc Dynamic is an optional feature. The statement by Varian’s customer described here is based on results achieved in the customer’s unique clinical setting. Because there is no “typical” clinical setting and many variables exist, there is no guarantee that other customers will achieve the same results. QR700020245
