About us
Since its founding in 1964, Veitas and Veitas Engineers has built a legacy of providing reliable, value-oriented structural engineering for construction projects throughout the Northeastern United States. We’ve long been known for our expertise in wood-framed construction. And we’ve proven time and again how the right structural decisions can transform a project—whether it’s a large-scale housing development, a retail center, a complex healthcare facility or a corporate campus. As structural specialists, we work collaboratively to identify and design the right solutions from the start. Our portfolio of structural engineering services is designed with this philosophy in mind. • Conceptual design • Schematic and design development • Development of construction documents • Construction administration • Special structural inspection • Value engineering consulting

Congratulations to HYM Investment Group LLC for opening Amaya in June, a 475-unit building, and the first to open in Suffolk Downs development. This eight-story #residential #multifamily structure is five levels of lightweight wood over three levels of #steel #podium, located steps away from Beachmont MBTA station. Special thanks to ICON Architecture for their leadership through all phases of design and construction and John Moriarty & Associates for smooth construction of such massive building. #EngineeringatHumanScales #StructuralEngineering #ThinkDifferent #BuildBetter Read more here: https://lnkd.in/egNTwdwS

Construction is on the way for two new student housing at University of Tennessee, Knoxville bringing almost 2000 new beds to its #campus. This distinctive project, carried out through a public-private collaboration, is the first of its kind in Tennessee's history. We had the privilege of working with Niles Bolton Associates and RISE A Real Estate Company on this venture and are excited to see it is broken ground! #EngineeringatHumanScales #StructuralEngineers #StudentHousing #CampusLife #Institutional #ThinkDifferentBuildBetter #P3Development
Congratulations to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville team on breaking ground on two new residence halls! We are honored to work with the University, long-standing partner RISE A Real Estate Company, and Niles Bolton Associates on this exciting venture to bring nearly 2,000 beds to students on campus. It was a pleasure to hear from University Chancellor Donde Plowman on this first-of-its-kind public-private partnership and the value it will bring to freshmen and sophomores on campus for years to come. #ReputationisEverything #StudentHousing #InstitutionalConstruction #HigherEducation #CampusLiving

This month’s client tour took Jonathan Bayreuther down to CT, NJ, NY, and PA. Check out the post below and think about why you’re coming to the office. What is the purpose of your time there?
Cool old Airstream, but it’s the office behind it that’s got me thinking. Question: Being in your office is an intentional choice now for most design professionals, so what is the best purpose - and location - for your firm’s office space? As many firms leases are coming due in the next year or two, will your answer push a change in location? Comment below. I stopped at the Perkins Eastman office in Stamford, CT yesterday and had a great conversation with Meredith Taubin, AIA about #employeeengagement with hybrid teams. The Perkins Eastman office is right at street level with lots of people walking by - and they stop right in front of the windows! Walking dogs, get out of the rain, maybe curious what the designers are working on?!? It begs the question - when design firms are tucked away in an office park or up on a high floor in an office building, do they lose some direct interaction (and maybe inspiration) from the people they serve?
