Project Highlight: Collin Square NTMWD Venus Construction has kicked off storm drain improvements for the Collin Square NTMWD multi-family housing project in McKinney, TX! For this project, we’re using ArmorLoc technology: interlocking blocks designed to promote proper drainage as well as control erosion that can result from extreme weather and flooding. These blocks use ArmorTec which is a unique blend of materials added to the concrete that increases its strength and durability. Each block is made skid and slip resistant, slowing water drainage to further aid in erosion control. Our team is hard at work using the latest in concrete tech, ensuring efficient drainage systems for this growing community. We’re committed to delivering infrastructure that supports sustainable development and keeps residents safe and dry. Project scope includes the following: - 765 SF of ArmorLoc - 420 SF of ArmorTec - 123’ of 42” RCP installation - New 42” type B headwall installation - Clearing and grubbing - Import common fill Stay tuned as we share progress updates on this exciting new project! ************************* 📞 (817) 477-2050 🔗 venusconstruction.com ************************* TRUST is our brand since 1967. #TrustIsOurBrand #ProjectKickoff #WetUtilities #McKinneyTX #UndergroundConstruction #CommunityBuilding #CollinSquareApartments #ArmorTec #ArmorLoc

📝 The Role of Underground Utilities in Urban Infrastructure Development Urban infrastructure development relies on underground utilities, which provide vital services like water, sewer, storm drainage, electricity, natural gas, and telecommunications. These systems form the backbone of cities, ensuring essential resource delivery and smooth daily operations. DRY & WET UTILITIES • Dry utilities include systems that don’t transport liquids, like electrical power lines, natural gas lines, telecommunications, and fiber optics. These services keep homes, businesses, and institutions powered and digitally connected. • Wet utilities handle water-based services such as water mains, sewer lines, and storm drainage, crucial for supplying clean water, managing wastewater, and preventing flooding, which supports public health and safety. SURVEYING The first step in utility installation, surveying maps land for optimal utility line placement, preventing conflicts with other systems and ensuring compliance with regulations. WATER & SEWER SYSTEMS Water and sewer systems are vital for delivering clean water and removing wastewater. As cities grow, these utilities must be upgraded to meet demand. Modernizing older systems with trenchless techniques helps prevent leaks and minimize disruptions. STORM DRAINAGE Storm drainage systems prevent flooding by managing rainwater runoff. Underground pipes direct water away from streets and buildings, protecting urban areas. Well-planned storm drainage is crucial in regions with heavy rainfall or flash flooding. ELECTRICAL, GAS & TELECOMMUNICATIONS Underground electrical cables provide reliable power, protecting systems from storm damage. Natural gas lines are crucial, providing a stable energy source for heating, power, and industrial needs. Telecommunications, including internet and mobile networks, are equally vital. Underground fiber optic cables keep cities connected, supporting the digital economy. SUSTAINABLE URBAN GROWTH Underground utilities are key to sustainable urban growth. They reduce above-ground congestion, protect infrastructure, and ensure city resilience against environmental challenges. Reliable utilities like electricity, water, and telecommunications support business growth and improve quality of life. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/g3rApgAu 📞 (817) 477-2050 TRUST is our Brand since 1967.
