With the 2025 fertilizer season approaching, now is the time for farmers to consider the benefits of applying key micronutrients like zinc and manganese for better yield potential. Jake Socherman, General Manager of Micronutrients, shared some insights on micronutrient application in a recent article with CropLife: "In times of lower commodity prices, you can’t save your way to a profitable crop. The best approach is to try to increase yields to drive a higher return per acre. Application of key micronutrients, like zinc and manganese, on a pre-plant basis have been shown to make a significant difference in a crops ability to take on and assimilate more nitrogen and phosphorus.” Check out the full article with more insights: https://ow.ly/cIMA50TA3nh

As the market dips, farmers face the challenge of maintaining profitability while optimizing crop production. Mike Zwingman, Director of Agronomy, emphasizes that the key to success lies in maintaining efficiency and making strategic input decisions. “As a child of 80s production agriculture, one thing that seems to be the constant is when things got tough, the people who persisted through those times are the people who continued to do the things you need to do to raise better crops,” Zwingman says.
