Thriving Amid Uncertainty: Expanding Fundraising in Challenging Economic Times In times of economic uncertainty, nonprofit organizations face significant challenges that directly impact fundraising efforts. While these challenges aren't unprecedented, they create real obstacles: • Donor behavior becomes less predictable • Traditional funding sources contract • Operational costs continue to rise According to recent research from the Center for Effective Philanthropy (2025), over 67% of nonprofits report experiencing increased financial strain due to economic uncertainty in the past year. However, history demonstrates that leaders who invest strategically in programs that prioritize donors and mission during uncertain times often see their organizations emerge stronger when stability returns. The most successful nonprofit executives recognize that economic uncertainty is precisely when donor engagement becomes most critical—not when it should be reduced. By maintaining or even increasing meaningful donor communication during challenging times, organizations can build deeper loyalty and support that endures beyond any current crisis. This research report outlines a framework for nonprofit leaders to expand their fundraising operations precisely when it seems most difficult to do so. Download Today - https://lnkd.in/ezcrXCSz

Council for Advancement and Support of Education #CASEDRIVE has officially started here in New Orleans and of course we're 👏 at the opening keynote topic presented by Elizabeth (Liz) Ngonzi titled "AI Powered Impact." One of the biggest takeaways for me was how she laid out how to advocate for #AI adoption with institutional leadership: 💰 Position AI as a Strategic Asset: (1) Show how it aligns with and advances institutional priorities (2) Demonstrate ROI through time savings and revenue generation** (3) Connect to larger strategic goals beyond mere efficiency** 🤕 Emphasize Current Pain Points It Solves: (1) Limited resources and growing expectations** (2) Need for personalized communication at scale** (3) Competition for donor attention and support** 👥 Address Common Concerns: (1) Not replacing staff but enhancing their capabilities (2) Ethical implementation with human oversight** (3) Strategic integration rather than technological distraction **Hello, Version2.ai and AI-powered digital labor! I'm looking forward to introducing the Virtual Engagement Officer (VEO), Virtual Stewardship Officer (VSO), and the Virtual Planned Giving Officer (VPGO) to many incredible institutions this week. Thanks for a great kickoff to the conference, Liz!

What an incredible first day at #CASEV and #CUF for the Givzey/Version2.ai team! The day kicked off with Marianne Lewis' thought-provoking session on "Learning and Thriving Amid Tensions." Her emphasis on moving from "either/or" to "both/and" thinking perfectly aligned with our approach to AI in advancement - autonomous fundraising doesn't replace human fundraisers, it complements and enhances their work. Building on this momentum, we hosted two fantastic sessions featuring our partners from Texas State University and Illinois Institute of Technology. They shared impressive results on how they've leveraged Virtual Engagement Officers to add trusted capacity to their teams and offer more alumni personal connections to their institutions. Hearing their approach to digital labor brought our "both/and" philosophy to life! We capped off the evening with our cocktail reception - a wonderful opportunity to continue these conversations in a more relaxed setting, both with existing partners and new connections! Bring on Day 2!

I sent an email to our 🦏 alums yesterday informing them of upcoming events and updates through the foundation. In under 24 hours, it had a 𝟱𝟴% 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲. I could not be more excited. That open rate is significantly higher than the industry average, but there are 2️⃣ very important reasons for why I am so excited. 🤜 This was a list of 6,000+ matriculated students from '20-'25 who have not been contacted by us before. 🤜 The open rate shows demand. Alums were excited to see outreach from us. That is exciting to hear as we launch our Givzey VEO!

Adam Martel and Natalie Spring to Present on #AutonomousFundraising at Council for Advancement and Support of Education DRIVE Conference in New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, April 1 at 3:15 pm CT! We are excited to announce that Adam Martel, CEO Givzey Version2.ai and Natalie Spring, CFRE, Assistant Vice President of Advancement Solutions, Virginia Commonwealth University will be co-presenting at the #CASEDRIVE conference! Session: "What We've Learned From Fully Autonomous AI Fundraising & Where We're Going Next" t’s been almost nine months since the world’s first fully autonomous fundraiser interacted with its first assigned donor. During that time, 11 higher educational institutions joined together as a cohort to engage donors with an AI-powered Virtual Engagement Officer (and a second cohort is now live), but more importantly research, develop, and accelerate the deployment of autonomous fundraising for our entire industry. In this session, Natalie Spring of VCU will present the results her and her team have seen from autonomous fundraising – donors engaged, dollars raised, and pipeline built, in addition to their experience being the first organizations in the world to deploy a Virtual Engagement Officer to a portfolio of their donors. We’ll present what we learned, what we got right, where course corrections were needed, and how we navigated AI in a field defined by relationships. We’ll share all of our findings including portfolios for autonomous fundraisers, sourcing engagement content independently, accuracy, data collection, and more. Join us to explore the cutting-edge intersection of #AI technology and fundraising.
