Hyperscale data center capacity is set to double in the next four years.. Which is crazy considering in 2024 the global data center capex increased 51% in 2024, hitting $455 billion in investments.   The U.S. holds over half of the world’s data center capacity, and one of the biggest challenges I hear about is power availability is already taxed. Data Centers need to remain as close to 100% up time as possible because, let’s be honest, what would you do if you couldn’t Google something at any given moment? 😂 Coming from renewable energy, I’ve asked several Data Center Executives about using solar or wind power. The common response? The cost per watt is typically 3-4x higher than traditional energy. On top of that, many data centers are located in areas prone to hail or extreme weather, making solar a tough sell for developers. The challenge isn’t just cost, it’s reliability and risk.   I'm honestly very curious, where is the energy going to come from to handle that sort of growth and demand? I guess time will tell!   Source: https://lnkd.in/gUpjm_6P #DataCenters #AI #Infrastructure #Hyperscale #EnergyCrisis

No one wants their time wasted... Yet when it comes to hiring, that’s exactly what happens on both the recruitment and hiring side. Hiring managers are busy, and to try to save time, many will send a quick message saying, "Just send candidates that align with the JD." But here’s the reality. Over the past few months, I’ve went back and forth with hiring managers and HR teams who have had critical roles sitting open for 4, 6, even 12 months, yet they’re unwilling to jump on a quick call to discuss why. They believe a 30-minute conversation is a waste of time. You know what wastes even more time? ❌ Reviewing dozens of resumes from multiple firms that aren't relevant.. ❌ Interviewing candidates who make it through multiple rounds, only to be ruled out due to not being a culture fit ❌ Losing strong candidates before they even apply because they’ve been approached by multiple recruiters with mixed messaging about your company! A job description only tells part of the story. Candidates want to know: ✅ What’s the team dynamic like? ✅ What’s the company culture beyond just saying "we have a great culture"? Every company says they have a thriving culture!! ✅ What can you offer beyond compensation... career growth, mentorship, L&D? A short conversation upfront saves months of wasted effort down the line. If your role has been open for months, it’s time to rethink the process. Lets not waste each others time! #HiringStrategy #TalentAcquisition #datacenterrecruitment

"Cold calls and cold emails don’t work.".... I've been pretty surprised to see posts like these on a fairly regular basis over the last few weeks. To be fair, if you're reaching out to people who couldn’t utilize your service even if they wanted to—then you’re right, it won’t work. But that begs the question: What are you selling, and do you actually believe it’s worth buying? Personally, I’ve built my career on "cold calls & emails," but every call or email feels like a warm interaction to me (even if it’s not always received that way). As a recruiter, I spend most of my time on the phone with top talent in the market. I take the time to understand their dream job or ideal opportunity. From there, when I represent them, I reach out directly to hiring managers in their region, industry, and skill set—managers who work for organizations that align with my candidate’s ideal next move. In situations like that, I believe I’m bringing value to both sides of the equation: ✅ Candidates receive a quality service, with direct introductions to hiring managers. ✅ Hiring managers get the chance to meet top talent—sometimes solving a gap in their team before they even need to post a job. So yes, cold calls & emails do work—as long as you’re bringing real value and targeting the right people. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. #ThursdayMotivation

One area where we've seen a major disconnect between clients and candidates is remote versus onsite work (shocker). I myself enjoy being in an office, especially in a sales role where some days things can just hit the fan, as it can be a strong motivator being around people who are trying to hustle. I also do think that there are some soft skills and interpersonal development opportunities for those just joining the workforce that are key for long-term success if you are looking to "climb the corporate ladder." With that being said, I don't have kids, I don't have pets, and have the luxury to invest the majority of my time to work which I know for many people, having that balance to work remotely allows them to prioritize... well other priorities. If you are working remote currently, how much of a compensation increase would it take to consider an onsite position? Let us know your thoughts! #RemoteWork #JobOpportunities #DataCenters
